My teaching has covered many facets of American History, including the History of Slavery in the US, the broader African American freedom struggle, America in the Industrial and Imperial Ages, and Southern History.
More specifically, I have taught undergraduate survey courses in African American History and U.S. History, as well as upper-level undergraduate courses in the Civil War and Reconstruction, the American South Post-1865, and the Making of Modern America. Undergraduate and graduate research and readings seminars have included the History of Slavery in the U.S., African American History, and Early American History.
